Does applying lemon juice to a burn scar help reduce the scar?

I've heard that Vitamin E (purchased as an oil, or from punctured capsules) can help reduce a scar. A really bad scar can often be fixed by a cosmetic surgeon. I never heard that lemon juice does much for scars.
