Remedy to reduce swollen gums and sensitive teeth?

Last night I had some pain in one tooth so I decided to brush and then floss really good, then I used Pro Den rx which is a rinse that you use for sensitive teeth and so forth. This morning I did the same thing and not 10 minutes later, I had the worst swollen gums and sensitive teeth. So I've been on here looking for help and have tried Listerine, salt water, which haven't helped. I know I need to go to the dentist but I wont be able to see him for 3 days. So in the mean time if anyone has any OTHER home remedies that I could try I'd appreciate it.
